| That was the second generation mazda3, well before their partnership with Toyota (and their reliability steadily improved). At that high mileage (almost 200,000 miles) for that vehicle, I would easily pass on it. Heck, even the newer 3rd generation mazda3, while much better than the 2nd Gen, I wouldn’t even recommend that one beyond 200,000 miles (their reliability in recent years is in the Top 4 but still not at Toyota/Honda levels yet). | |||||

| ... comparing cars and critiquing every flaw and often skip talking about reliability. the Corolla is probably less fun to drive then the Civic and probably lacks the things that draw many people to choose the mazda3. all of the cars I mentioned here are well built cars, in my personal opinion the most reliable is the mazda3 (the SkyActive engine is objectively better built then the DynamicForce and lasts longer) And the most fun to drive is probably a high trim of the Civic, but the Corolla is a good compromise in between. TBH, it just boils down to your ... | |||||
| Answer to: Mazda 3 First Gen Oil Change with a Turbocharger in the User Manual. | 18Relevance | 5 years ago | Razmig Bartassian | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Exactly what @cjbman said. I have a 2008 mazda3 GT, and the owner's manual does include information for the turbocharged version of the mazda3 (Mazdaspeed3) as well. Just ignore the turbocharger stuff in the manual as they are different engines. | |||||

| Answer to: Mazda 3 transmission? | 18Relevance | 5 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| This third Gen mazda3 (MYs 2014-2018) was overall pretty good. The transmission is Mazda’s SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speeds. Not too many complaints about the transmissions. For your reference: Also, which engine option are you looking at, the 2.0 or 2.5L version? I ask because in 2015 the 6-speed Manual was offered on the larger 2.5L engine, which is always tempting. 🙂 | |||||

| Great cars! mazda3 underneath. You could get them with manual transmission. For most people too small as a van. Sort of same story as an olden Nissan Axcess. But it handled well, reliable, … pretty well on a par with 2.5 litre mazda3. F.S. | |||||
| Answer to: Son got a full ride scholarship, in return I promised him a new car on his 18th birthday. What do I get? (Up to $25,000). | 18Relevance | 5 years ago | Whatchamacallit | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Get him a mazda3 with the naturally aspirated engine (2.0L or 2.5L engine). Regarding the 2.5L engine - depending on the package and options it may or may not come with cylinder deactivation, but avoid cylinder deactivation at all costs! You can check the brochure (for 2020 and 2021 model years to see which trim package offers it and just don’t select that trim package). Anyhow, it’s a great choice for him, a little fun to drive but also more practical and safer (than the Miata). It’s possible he may grow out of the Miata (2-seater roadster) for somethi ... | |||||

| ... 6'1, 225. It's tolerable, but not terribly comfortable, at least for longer trips, for me. (I could say the same thing about the mazda3 that my previous wife owned, in terms of relative comfort). So, it's great for a smaller person, not so much for a larger individual. Wind/Engine noise: It's a small car, and yes, it's there's some noticeable engine and wind noise at higher speeds. Most econo-boxes have higher decibel levels (and less sound muffling tech) than mid-range sedans (such as my 08 Camry). And smaller cars have smaller wheelbases, which make for ... | |||||

| Hi Scotty, My wife's 2012 mazda3 has 120, 000 kms (75,000 miles) needs replacement brake pads. I am considering replacing the rotors too. What is the minimum thickness for rotor thickness? I can't find it in the owners manual and Chilton nor Haynes have made a manual for a 2012 mazda3. | |||||

| As I recall, ‘10 mazda3 with 2.5 litre engine was a blast. I say, if you find a good mazda3 just prior it going "Skyactiv". Also, Honda Civic with 2.0 litre engine… Si model, … but those are generally trashed quickly. Also, if 2 door is acceptable, look for Acura RSX.Those are nice uppity Honda Civics built in Japan.F.S. | |||||

| Answer to: Mazda3 or Nissan Versa both with manual Transmission. Which will last longer | 10Relevance | 2 years ago | Chuck Tobias | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| The Versa is cheaper for a reason. (Nissan is partnered with Renault and uses Renault tech. Mazda, on the other hand, is partnered with Toyota. This may provide a clue.) | |||||

| I want good mpg car with a manual transmission. Not many available. I love my V6 Toyota hopefully will last over 400,000 miles like my 1989 Toyota truck. I'm almost 60, I want a low maintenance car with manual tranny. The Versa is considerably cheaper than Mazda 3. Which would you recommend for reliability and longest lasting. Thanks. Just want something with better mpg. The mpg of my 2021 Tacoma is horrible. 18 - 19 avg. Love your videos, honest, no bull info. Hard to find. | |||||
