| RE: What is your opinion of the 2016-20 Lincoln Continental?? | 54Relevance | 5 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| (Scroll down to Ford, it seems Continental isn't linked but the others should help because all Ford/Lincoln cars have carried powertrains) Here are some search results: | |||||

| I found a 1998 Lincoln Continental on Craigslist that’s going for $7900 and has 122K. It’s fwd and it said that the title was clean. Is this overpriced? Any thoughts? | |||||
| Answer to: Lincoln Town Car vs. Continental? | 34Relevance | 5 years ago | Kerem | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| You mean the newer Continentals? Have you used the search bar because I know I've seen more than a few people ask about the Lincoln Continental. I would say the Panther platform is more reliable by far than this newer set up with turbo ecoboost tiny engines and all that stuff and they are being recalled a lot. Ford quality isn't there anymore. | |||||

| Oil and Metal on spark plugs is never a good sign and defiantly sounds like it blew up. Unless the car is in near perfect condition i would not put the money into the car. The older Lincolns are not worth very much. For example, i just bought a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII (same engine as your Continental) with 58,000 miles for only $3,000. I would recommend just get what money you can out of the Continental and put it towards another car. | |||||

| 2017 Lincoln Continental 2.7 Turbo- Is it F-150 engine? | 23Relevance | 3 years ago | adawg97 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| So I was severely underwhelmed with the new 2023 Camry 8 speed automatic and even the new Acura’s with CVT transmission. I’m wondering if the 2.7L engine in the Lincoln Continental Black Label is the same thing they put in the F-150 eco-boost and if so pretty reliable? The interior on the Lincoln is insane as the window sticker new was $72k. Thanks for the input! | |||||
| 1976 Lincoln Continental worth buying? | 23Relevance | 4 years ago | Jr2020 | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hello, I have always been a fan of classic cars and trying to learn more about them. A person we know has a 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV, 60k original miles - no rust. He is selling the car for $3,000. The seats were removed from the car due to humidity/mold. New carpet was placed in and after market seats. Is this something that could be a collectors or worth buying? Maybe fix for car meets/shows or resale later? Thanks. | |||||
| 2002 Lincoln Continental cabin heat problem | 23Relevance | 4 years ago | rickhci | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty. I have a 2002 Lincoln Continental with 162000 miles. I'm having an issue when I turn on the defrost. Once the defroster is turned on the heat comes on and then it can't be turned off unless you increase the temp on the heater as far as it will go (90 degrees) and then back it down, one degree at a time until you reach the desired temp...which makes it quite hot in the summer time! Can you tell me what or why this is happening? Thanks so much! Rick | |||||
| 01 Continental Misfire | 23Relevance | 4 years ago | JCBM | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| I’ve got a 2001 Lincoln Continental that had a misfire on cylinder 7 but only happens when idling. When it’s moving it will fire normally. I recently had all the spark plugs replaced and coil overs replaced however it still has a misfire. Was told that it would need a new injector on cylinder 7 as well and replacing the seals on all the others. If that didn’t fix it would be the valve that’s gone bad. Super confused as I have taken to two different mechanics who have told me different things. | |||||

| Lincoln continental transmission problem | 23Relevance | 5 years ago | Lincolnman | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hi Scotty, So i have a 2001 Lincoln Continental with 97,000 miles. For the past month, ive had issues with the transmission falling out of gear to a lower gear going about 45 to 50 mph. When shes cold, she work fine but when shes hot, she starts acting rough and idles rough at a stop light. I have replaced the transmission fluid and filter as well. I had a code pop up that said p0734 and was told by a mechanics shop that i need a full rebuild. Do you think this is a solenoid problem or is there something major with the transmission? | |||||

| I'm not sure which, but some Continental's were RWD ans some were FWD. Plus the air bag rear suspension on some are prone to leaking. The 4.6 is a good engine but the intake manifolds are plastic and tend to crack and leak. | |||||
