Are Mitsubishi's reliable Japanese cars? Some things I find rank them high, others just the opposite. Specifically a 2011 Endeavor, which they don't make anymore but I found a 2011 with 50k miles for $9000.
$9000 is a rip off I wouldn't buy it.
Thanks for the feedback!
Your welcome and gl
Also, Scotty ranked Mitsubishi in his Worst-Best cars video. He ranked it somewhere in the average/subpar area saying it was basically like Kia/Hyundai and they can't learn from their mistakes.
In general, Mitsubishi is not a dependable car. Too many engine wear problems. You can find something better for less. Long term, the longevity of Mitsubishi is short and I would not buy one. They can get expensive to keep on the road over time, too. You can't go too wrong with a Honda, Toyota, some Fords. It's going to be all SUV's in the future, so plan on that eventuality as far as New vehicles.Used car prices are going up. Buy now.
I wouldn't pay more than $5000 for that if you were gonna buy one. Mitsubishi is all but gone here in the states and parts will be hard to find.
I've noticed that, I hardly ever see them anymore!
Mitsubishi's aren't very good and they are known for weak piston rings that cause the engines to burn oil at an early age. Even Nissan is better than Mitsubishi.
Aren't Nissan and Mitsubishi part of the same group? Just like how Kia and Hyundai are related as being in Hyundai group from what I know Nissan and Mitsubishi are both part of the Renault group.
Yes, they are both part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance and as such I would not want to buy a Nissan or Mitsubishi. However, if I absolutely had to buy either a Nissan or a Mitsubishi I would pick the Nissan over the Mitsubishi.
I always thought Mitsubishis are better just because their Jatco FWD transmissions are a little different than the Jatcos Nissan uses, and haven't had near the same problems.
Certain engines have had oil burning issues but I say major transmission failure is worse than oil burning at high milage.
As of 2016 Mitsubishi is part of Nissan-Renault, but what about back in 2010-11 when a 2011 would have been been manufactured? Was Mitsubishi a stand alone company at that time? How was its production quality back then?
The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance was formed back in 1999. So a Mitsubishi from 2010-2011 is affected. In the case of Nissan they went way downhill after joining the alliance, but in the case of Mitsubishi they were just as bad before the alliance. Mitsubishi transmissions are no better than Nissan transmissions. In fact, Nissan RWD transmissions are better than Nissan FWD transmissions and Mitsubishi transmissions.
Thanks!
In my experience, they used to be reliable but they are not anymore. I've owned 3, the first one was solid but the newer I went the cruddier they became.
