2004 Pontiac grand am 125,000 miles clean. It runs drives stops shifts as it should; water pump, thermostat, coolant temp sensor were all replaced but for some reason fans don’t turn on but unplug temp sensor they turn on. Any ideas?

Sounds like something is wrong with your fan module given that you have already changed your thermostat. The fans are designed to turn on when there is no signal from the sensor so your car doesn't overheat.
Best guess is the fan needs replacing. Hope that wasn't your issue to start and you shelled out a bunch of money.
Is the fan module located within the fan then?
So the fan module is located with in the fan assembly?
