Hi, I have a manual transmission 2005 Hyundai Elantra with 130K miles. I believe the clutch on the vehicle is the one from the factory. Compared to other newer manual transmission vehicles I have driven, my Elantra's friction zone seems very high. What I mean is it takes very little depression of the pedal to disengage the engine. The clutch does not slip or anything, but I was wondering if the friction zone being so high was a sign that the clutch needs to be replaced, or if there is some other adjustment needed. Thanks

Yeah it just means it's a clutch is relatively worn but you really don't have to replace it until it starts to slip
