06 Buick Lacrosse Evap/Leak

Hey there, got an 06' buick lacrosse with 136,000 that seems to drive and run just fine. Starts up flawlessly every time. My issue is that I keep getting a code for Evap/Gas Leak, an occasional 'check gas cap' and sometimes when fueling the car it clicks off on me before it's even full. Usually if I start to pump, let it click, take out the pump, let it sit for a minute, then start fueling again it'll let me finish but I can't figure out the issue. I see no fluids on the ground before or after driving, smell no gas, but sometimes hear what sounds like liquid dripping onto metal after a longer drive. Paid the shop the rest of my family stands by to do a smoke test and they found no leak, think the dripping might be some sort of condensation. Shop said to replace the Canister Vent Valve Solenoid and autozone said to replace the Canister Purge Valve. I figured the auto zone was just the generic repair for the code but said screw it and replaced both myself. Well the check engine light hasn't come on for it but refueling issue persists, same with check cap, and if I run my scanner it will bring up the code/ fail the onboard evap test thing. Guess I should replace the Gas Cap too but it really seems fine. Any other suggestions? I feel this car could go more than another year but it needs to pass another Echeck to do that.

Can you list the “P” codes?

Yeah for sure. Sorry for the delay have been sick and haven't been to the car for a minute. The code I get is p0455.

First replace the gas cap and see if that fixes your problem. Its an 06 the gas cap is most likely worn. As far as the refueling problem, you should try going to a different gas station.

Definitely going to give the gas cap a change. And I have tried different gas stations. Granted I typically go to one near me but I've been to 3 different ones. All of them do it, but not all the time.

Jeez, you should’ve started with a cheap new OEM gas cap, first!

Oh yeah, could try pushing some air through, should give that a shot. And I'm going to replace the cap, you're right should've start there, but not sure what that would have to do with refueling.
