Hi Scotty, I have an 08 Mazda 3 standard 2.3L engine. It’s been sitting for about a year, my fiancé decided to jump the battery and start it without doing anything first 🤦🏻♀️ He ran it at idle it for about a 1/2 hour, when he tried to reverse it out it stalled. The gas light was on e. Is the damage done from running crappy gas through it and what would you recommend checking checking before we try again the right way? Also is there an additive I can add to the gas tank to help whatever damage may have been done? Thank you so much, so very grateful for what you do!

You can run a cleaner through the system. I don't think any damage was done..sounds like you just ran the car out of gas.
