[Solved] Should I buy this '77 Corona

So I've been shopping for a second car to serve as our backup. Lady had bought an immaculate/partially restored 1977 Toyota Corona 4 door. It's reportedly got 128k original miles (automatic transmission). Everything is stock except for the brake system which recently was fully rebuilt/replaced. Due to the age, there isn't much information online other than the engines are indestructible. Thought it would a fun little car to fiddle around with but I thought I would consult the experts before teasing the thought of buying it. Thanks in advance!

Lady was asking 6500 for context.

The 70’s vintage corona was a solid car.  But there aren’t many left and I suspect @chucktobias is right about parts.

Take a look around the JDM forums (I know it’s a North American spec car, but that’s where people go who know about old Toyotas) and see what information you can find. I wouldn’t be surprised if you need to order a lot of parts from the old country.

Good luck

Could be a fun weekend toy to play around with. If you live in an area where cars that old are tested for emissions that could be a challenge. Price sounds high to me but it's tough to judge prices on "classic" vehicles.

You'd probably want to pick up a shop manual for it, at least something like a Chilton manual if not a factory shop manual. Finding some parts could be a challenge.
