Hey Scotty, I'm new to the mechanical side of cars, I've recently obtained my Dad's old truck/power wagon. It has been on his farm the past 30 years he used it for pulling trailers (I used it for mudding when I was a kid)  it is in decent shape having little rust and a good frame, however it has been sitting the past 8 or 9 years. Anyways I am currently trying to get it running again. And was wondering is ot even worth my time with everything going electric? And if so should I keep the original 318 motor? (Idk the odometer reading it's well over 100k maybe 200k and the odometer only goes up to 99k miles on it sorry)

I'd keep it, but go thought it VERY throughly. If any of the major components are badly damaged or have a lot of wear I'd replace them. But they are cool and fun trucks, and they are collectors items now. Also I'd only replace or rebuild the engine if it was necessary (Blown head gasket, thrown rod, etc.).

purchased a 84 ramcharger to gut it for parts (mostly interior) it's a prospector I'm super excited came to found out it had the original cigarette lighter! Anyways the top visor has the chrysler instructions on putting it into 4x4 I love the old look of these things

Anyways are years 84 and 89 similar enough to call it an accurate restoration?

I'd say so, the main changes in the period of those 5 years were were the front and rear bumper/grill designs. The interior stayed mostly the same though that time other than gauges and radio having different colors and styles, but the main body and interior stayed the same shape during those years so you should be able to fit everything from the 84 interior into the 89 without any major problems. I'd say it's accurate enough, it's highly unlikely anyone will ever notice anyway.
