1994 Dodge Dakota lacks power

Hello!

I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota with 78,000 miles on it, absolute creampuff, (2wd 3.9L v6) that has a super odd issue. Intermittently, my truck will lose power. It seems like if I put more pressure onto the throttle, the more power I lose. This happens in super odd intervals, too. Sometimes it happens three miles after the previous time, but other times, it happens one hundred miles after the previous time. I'm not 100 percent sure, but one time that it happened, I pulled into a parking lot just to see what would happened if I floored it, and I thought that I heard it backfire. Now, for the weird part... It doesn't only happen when warm, but happens when cold too. I got off of work and started up the truck, and within 10 seconds it happened. I feel like I'm at the end of my rope with this truck, and I just can't figure it out.

Now, I'll go into what I've replaced:

- I see that the previous owners replaced the fuel lines (they're braided), so I imagine that the fuel filter and pump were both replaced, essentially ruling that out.

- Throttle Positioning Sensor

- Distributor Cap/Rotor

- Radiator (shouldn't affect anything, but might as well mention it)

- Ignition coil

- I bought a PCM, but that's coming in a week or two, so hopefully that's it.

- Catalytic Converter (we thought that maybe there was something rattling around in there and clogging the exhaust, causing a loss of power intermittently)

- I'm definitely forgetting something, so I'd appreciate if you'd respond with what you think it may be.

Thanks! I look forward to hearing your solutions!

Parker
