Coolant leak after car sat for over a year

I have a 1996 Toyota Corolla base model sedan, automatic transmission (270,000 miles) The car has been sitting for little more than a year now, and want to start it back up. When we started it up a year ago after sitting long also, the bottom of the car was spilling coolant underneath like a fountain. The water pump was fixed previously to the sitting abandoned. Can this be a broken hose underneath? We do have rodents in the area. Also, given the age of the car and milage of the transmission, should we change the transmission fluid. And lastly, what type of engine oil would be best for this vehicle? Kind of forgot what oil we used, I know it was Castrol high milage. Thank you in advance and I hope this is a simple fix.

You need to visually check for where the coolant leak is coming from. The rest of your answers can be found in the FAQ.

broken hose, leaky radiator, leaky pump , leaky reservoir, etc.... many possibilities. Try to track it down.

Oil type should be in the manual or on the oil cap.

it doesn't matter. At that mileage just change it often.
