Hey Scotty, I have a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0 and when i drive it, it builds rpms but it doesnt seem to shift like its stuck in first but it only did that after i changed the speed sensor and had another speed sensor put on in the front on the truck what could be making it build rpms and not shift right ?.

You engine/transmission control units base the shifting on engine rpm and road speed from the speed sensor you just replaced. A scan tool with live data would tell you what that replaced speed sensor is telling the computers so you would know where to look to fix things - but I'd check connectors and grounds first. Always do the low-cost, simple checks before the expensive, high effort things.
