Hi, I have a 1999 Mazda Protege DX 1.6L Naturally Aspirated what ever that means.

I was looking on Ebay for a fuel pump but don't know what would be best to buy.

Could you help me they have so many options to choose from on there.

If you don't recommend something on Ebay just send me a link to the one you think will work best.

I watched one of your videos and you said get an OEM one but  I have no idea

Here is the link to what I was looking for on Ebay.  Please advise

"Naturally aspirated" means there is no turbocharger or supercharger, the intake system works at normal atmospheric pressure.

I would not buy parts off of ebay that can leave you stranded, like a fuel pump. The OEM pump on that car is probably Denso.

+1 @chucktobias

I'll just add that you may want to call up your local Mazda dealer with your VIN (vehicle identification number) and ask them for the OEM part number, to compare with the rockauto catalogue, which Chuck posted earlier.

Good point - there may have been running changes where the specific pump needs to be matched up to the VIN. I noticed there were a couple of different Denso pumps listed at rockauto.com though at least part of the difference is one comes with the filter and one does not.

That’s what I noticed too.
