I am currently looking at a 1999 Pontiac Firebird. It has the 6 cylinder and I was wondering about potential problems that I need to know about. It has 150,000 miles.
Thanks in advance

The automatic transmission is your biggest potential source of trouble. It's older GM, but their automatic transmissions still weren't the best. Pull the dipstick, if it smells burned, feels gritty or looks like brown varnish, it's worn out. It will ideally be light red or dark red. Light red means it's newer fluid. You'll want to have a mechanic check it out to be safe.
