[Solved] 2 year OIl change at 7000 miles?

Scotty, I bought a new 2023 Hyundai Kona, and like most Hyundai's, the factory says the first oil change is at 7000 miles per their warranty.  My car is 1 year old this month and I only have 3600 miles on it. At this rate it will be 2 years before my first factory authorized oil change.  That seems too long.  What would YOU do?  (and dont forget that these oil changes are free through Hyundai's program)

Look in your manual,

it always says X miles or Y months!

Usually on a Hyundai it’s 7,000 miles or 12 months as the service interval.

HOPE that you haven’t missed it, if you miss it by over a month they may refuse further warranty claims.

also what engine and transmission is it? The only decent option they offered in the US is the 2.0 MPi + 6 AT.

I’d start by browsing through here -

I would change the oil now, and then every 5,000 mi or 1 year, which ever comes first. Hyundais are rolling piles of junk and the engines are poorly made so baby the engine, and sell it soon.
