2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 manual transmission

Hello Scotty and moderators. I have a 2001 tacoma 5 speed 3.4L V6. I'm having a few issues but I mainly want to start with this main problem. During cold starts I've noticed I'm having trouble shifting into first gear from a dead stop. It feels like I'm hitting a wall and doesn't want to go into gear, mind you I do have my clutch all the way down to the floor. I sometimes pump the clutch a few times to see if that would work but nothing. I have to turn the truck off shift into 1st gear and turn it back on in that gear for me to even get the truck moving. Now after maybe 10-20 minutes of letting it warm up or driving (depending on weather) it (sometimes) shifts smoothly into first and the rest of the gears. Any help is greatly appreciated.

A side note: I've received this truck recently from my father and all he told me he just did a clutch replacement about 3 months back, so I don't have a lot of information on the maintenance history of the truck

I forgot to add the mileage it's got just over 181,100 miles

well if he actually did replace all the clutch parts inside the transmission then change the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder now those are external parts that are pretty easy to swap out

First, check the pedal height and engagement adjustment.  Next, check to see if the clutch hydraulic system was properly bled.  It sounds like there is air in the system, not allowing full disengagement when pressure is on the throw out bearing.  Also, check transmission oil level.  Last, remove shift lever and cover and see if the white, plastic nylon shift bushing ( it snaps over the shift ball) is worn out.
