Bout 2 weeks ago I smelled weird smell coming from vents in car while heat was on and car in park. So I turned car off then when I tried to turn on would not start so had it jumped it start but would shut back off. So had alternate replace made it home. Than nextmortning I  had issues where car was dead had it jumped again than codes come up p0300,p0301,p0302,p0303 had plugs and coils and injectors as well as MAF changed and cleaned throttle body. Car was fine for like a week and a half . Than I started losing acceleration had code p0172come up had o2.senors changed and idle control valve cleaned. Tried to do a relearn on throttle position sensor as well .  but car keeps losing acceleration random while driving. It happens multiple times in a trip around block.

Your fuel pump may be dying. Have you checked fuel pressure?

No not sure how to

It should be pretty straightforward, just connect a fuel pressure gauge to the test port on your fuel rail. (If you don't have a gauge you may be able to borrow one from a parts store like AutoZone.)

It's also possible your fuel filter is clogging up if it's old, and a clogged air filter can also cause problems.

@chucktobias sorry forgot to mention i changed the air filter too. And I have the cabin filter but can't get behind my glove box where they said it goes.

A bad cabin air filter might contribute to smells but would have no effect on the way the car runs. Obviously if the fuel filter is clogging up that would cause a fuel delivery problem like a dying fuel pump would. Also I hope you installed OEM sensors. (Did they test as bad before you replaced them?)

I just started replacing items that they said could be the problem

That is entirely the wrong way to go about solving a car problem. You should have started with a diagnostic scan for live data as well as checking codes, and checking sensor outputs.

Also got parts from Amazon and they were not OEM .

That is a big problem. Cheap Chinese parts from Amazon rarely if ever work properly. Chances are your old OEM parts are better than the ones you installed.

@chucktobias well I check maf today by starting car and letting it run then unplug maf and the car cut off instead of keep running . Is there a way to check plugs ,coils, and injectors as well as O2 sensors.

That was not a good way to check your MAF sensor. Check plugs by examining them for fouling or physical damage. Coils can most easily be checked by swapping them with another cylinder not misfiring. MAF and O2 sensor data can be checked with a scan tool as well as other means. (Plenty of youtube videos out there can show you how.) Also check the troubleshooting section of the site FAQ.

And I will be sure moving forward they are OEM parts and guess that means original parts.

Yes, OEM = Original Equipment from the manufacturer

You dont have to go to the dealer to buy OEM parts (in fact it’s best not too as they’ll rip you off). https://toyota.oempartsonline.com/  Is a good website to source OEM parts for your Toyota. Don’t buy on amazon/eBay because those sites often. Have counterfeit parts advertised as OEM but in reality they’re cheap Chinese crap

Now I have codes p0171 and p0141

@chucktobias thank you seems like the common between both codes is O2 sensor but I got new ones and they were Bosch brand. What would you do as I replace the mass air flow to . Think only for me to do is fuel filter as friend of mine that works on cars checked for vacuum leaks as well.

I would do more diagnosis before replacing parts. Guessing and throwing parts at a problem rarely if ever yields a good result. Be aware that codes involving the O2 sensors do not always have anything to do with the sensors themselves. (Although Bosch is a good brand of O2 sensor, OEM for Toyota is most likely Denso. I hope you didn't get parts from Amazon or eBay given the high number of counterfeits from those sources.)

Here's an instance where codes pointed to an O2 sensor problem but the actual cause was much different:

@fay012003 Yes, original Toyota parts are best and are available at a discount online, however avoid Amazon and Ebay due to counterfeits. If original Toyota parts are no longer available due to the age of the car the next best choice is the original OEM supplier (Denso for most Toyota sensors).

Car is not losing acceleration now but has a small jerk when at stop and pulling off and at times when acceleration
