I have a problem with my 2004 Chevy suburban with the mechanism that shuts down the entire system when you open the door to exit the vehicle. We know that when you get into the vehicle, the bell rings when you put the key and all that, that no longer rings anything, and when I finish a trip I turn off the vehicle and before the radio would stay on for 10 minutes if you stayed inside. Suddenly the stereo no longer turned off and I started to discharge the battery, I have to turn it off manually but this did not change the battery discharge that I have already changed 2 times. I don't know if it has something to do with my instrument cluster, the speedometer doesn't read the speed well, it goes up to 120 miles and stays that way; The voltmeter is stuck at 14.2 volts, I know that I have an instrument cluster that is not working right, but it may be the cause of draining my battery, but I think that if my stereo does not turn off as before when I open the door, it has a lot to do with the problem.
Thank you for your answers
It seems that The BCM in your car needs to be replaced.
BCMs almost never go bad.
You probably have electrical fault somewhere, like a bad ground or broken wire. Unfortunately, this isn't something you will fix over the internet. Somebody will need to sit down in front of an electrical schematic, study it, and bit by bit isolate where the issue lies. The circuit in question is called Retained Accessory Power (RAP). There is a RAP relay in your fusebox you can check.
