Went to a local mechanics shop to have them inspect my brakes. Fronts they said were fine but the rears (Drum breaks) needed to be replaced. After they finished up the break pedal was very stiff at first, but now when I go to stop im pushing the brake pedal almost to the floor its not like it was when I first brought it in. I have a feeling they didn't bleed the brakes properly. What else might it be? Going back there in the morning.
Obviously they're not real mechanics if your car came back worse than it was before. Maybe a bleeder screw came loose? You said initially it was kinda stiff, now it's almost to the floor. That would indicate a bleeder screw came loose.
What exactly did the replace? Shoes? Drums? Wheel cylinders? Hardware (springs and adjusters?)
If they didn't open up the hydraulic system to replace wheel cylinders there would be no need to bleed the brakes.
They replaced the drum shoes on both sides. I did watch them bleed the brakes with some kind of air hose thing with a bucket on it.
If all they replaced was the shoes they apparently bled the brakes when it wasn't needed and botched the job. If that car has ABS it's probably going to require a bidirectional scan tool to bleed them properly.

No ABS on the car.
Or at least I don't believe it does.
Where are you located? ABS brakes have been required in the U.S. since 2004 and most cars had them even a few years before that.
Its a 2004 Toyota Corolla
Have you checked the master cylinder reservoir for proper brake fluid level? Maybe they bled without refilling adequately.
