Topic starter
I have a 2004 Honda pilot with 260000 on it. It died today on the way home. I scanned it and got code P1399 (misfire code) the car turns over to start and the battery is good. I cleaned the intake because it was really dirty but still didn't start. I sprayed starting fluid into the intake and it started right up. So I'm thinking my fuel pump is bad. Please someone help me. I don't make much money and want to only spend money on the most sensible solution.

Change the fuel filter & pressure test the fuel pump.
When was the last time you had the valves adjusted?
