2004 Nissan Pathfinder SE (165,000 miles) [both engine and trans have been replaced before don’t know where/ when got it second hand from relative] . The vehicle idles okay for a little bit, but as the car warms up or when A/C is turned on the vehicle goes into “limp mode” (I put quotations cause I don’t know what to call it) , and won’t go faster than 2-3 miles per hour. The engine shakes quite a bit and hard too, kind of like a person chocking on something. Below are a list of parts that I replaced/ had replaced.
2 Camshaft solenoids (OEM) HITACHI/ NISSAN
2 Camshaft sensors (OEM) HITACHI/ NISSAN
1 Crankshaft sensor (OEM) HITACHI/ NISSAN
2 Catalytic converters
1 Throttle body (OEM) HITACHI/ NISSAN
Side-note: When I replaced the Throttle body it was starting to work again, no hard idle shaking, and I could leave my A/C on, (the only thing was it wouldn’t shift fast enough, slow to shift maybe VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR?) but when trying to program my steering wheel control buttons on my aftermarket radio (I got rid of my old radio) I left the vehicle ignition on for too long and the battery had died. I charged the battery and it held the charge, put new catalytic converters in and now it does the same thing as before. Below is a list of the trouble codes that I keep getting.
Codes:
P1110
P1135
P0011
P0021
I found out that when I clear the codes with my scan tool the car runs fine but shifts gears slowly like before and codes come back after slowing down/ coming to a stop. Clear the codes again, and car shifts and runs but won’t go past 3rd gear. I had taken it to my friend who is a mechanic and we can’t find out what’s wrong with it. Going to check the timing chain and then maybe replace the ECU if need be. I have tried everything I could think of, can’t figure out what’s wrong with it. I watch Scotty Kilmer so I thought maybe he might know? I know some mechanic stuff just enough to maintenance my own car, I am unsure about this. Thanks for the help.
Scan tool: Bluepoint Microscan
From my experience with those generally the transmissions go bad have a tranny expert r a check that first
