Hello Scotty ,
- I love your content . I have watching a lot of your stuff here lately when I have been working on my vehicles. My wife has a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with about 170,000 miles and unfortunately she had a small wreck about 2 years ago where she rear-ended another vehicle. Well me and my father and law got it all out back together and had to replace the radiator and the metal bars just above and below it as well as the driver's side headlight. It wasn't too bad of a job though but everything was running great. We were going to get the kids Christmas presents and she was going around a turn and had to hit the brakes very hard because a car coming from the other turning lane almost hit us . We drove about 3 miles and it started over heating . I put water in it and we drove 3 more miles and it was out of coolant again . So , I ended up having it towed home. The vehicle is driving fine other than losing coolant and It has no leaks but I felt the exhaust and I can tell all of the coolant is coming out of the tailpipe as steam. I ended up putting some bars leaks head gasket sealer in it and that fixed it for 2 days and it started losing all the coolant again. I did see a video where a guy took apart the engine to replace the head gasket on the same vehicle and the head gasket was fine but a lot of the head bolts had rusted away and where broken and I can't help but think maybe when she hit the brakes maybe it broke some of those head bolts and shifted the head over a little. I wanted to hear your thoughts before tearing the engine down to the head gasket because I have not replaced a head gasket before but I'm fairly confident that I can do it. Thanks !

The only thing that would produce that symptom is a blown head gasket, or a warped or cracked cylinder head.

You need to replace the head gasket and replace the stock head bolts with an ARP head stud kit for your car.
