Hi Scotty, I have a 2005 Camry XLE 2.4L with ABS but no VSC. It's automatic transmission and has 170K miles on it. My brake pedal was going to the floor so I recently replaced my master brake cylinder because none of the brake lines were leaking. I bled the cylinder and all 4 brake lines, however it didn't the solve the problem. The brake pedal is still spongy. Could it be the brake booster? What should I check for next?
Start off with brake pedal:
While the car is off, push down the brake pedal. If it is soft, the source is not the brake booster.
Did you also change the brake fluid too? Also, the breaker rubber hoses may have small cracks (due to the age) and might lead to brake fluid moisture absorption too.
Hello yaser, yes I changed my brake fluid as well. When car is off the brake pedal still goes down, thanks for that tip. I'll check the rubber hoses next. Thank you!
Check really carefully could.be a rear wheel cylinder
