I'm having an issue with my 2005 Toyota Corolla stalling out. It has 180,000 miles and has until now run like a dream. Owned it for about a year now. The stalling is intermittent and when it does happen it only happens only at low rpms. What usually happens is when I'm sitting at a red light for a while with foot on break and car in drive it will be running and then when light turns green and I hit the accelerator it will stall. It doesn't happen everytime but when it does happen it always starts right back up fine no hesitation and it only happens after coming to a stop and then hitting the accelerator. There are no codes or engine light. Thought maybe a vacuum leak but can't hear one. Recent work done to the car is replaced the mass airflow sensor, spark plugs, and tensioner pulley and serpentine belt. Puzzled by this problem due to intermittent nature and no codes. Please help. Thank you
How old is the fuel filter? Is fuel pressure up to specification? What does freeze-frame data show when the engine stalls?
My code reader says no freeze data when I plug it in. I have no idea how old the fuel filter is and haven't checked the fuel pressure because I wasn't sure how to do that. I'll look up how to do that and it sounds like that would be a good place to start. If the pressure is low that would indicate a bad fuel pump or filter?
