Hey Scotty, please help me if you can I haven't slept due to my 2006-2007 FJ Cruiser alarm going off randomly for no reason. I looked on forums saw all kinds of stuff from sensor's to tailgate locking switch rusting up causing alarm to act up and go off when ever. Also some guy said in a forum to replace the key fob battery for the doors that he thought it was sending signals to the car alarm due to battery in it needing to be replaced. So i did that put a new duracell 2016 lithium battery in it but still no joy the alarm goes off still when least wanted . I recently did replace my car battery so i know its not a low car battery. The horn going off in the middle of night is getting old big time. PLease help if you see my comment !
Here is the problem those alarms go off when they see a voltage change such as you open the door the dome light goes on trunk is open etc. So are you going to have to find what the random voltage losses and that could be a stinker but start with my video finding battery drain on your car Scotty
