I purchased a used Chevy Impala from my brother. It had a few problems but it did run. It started having problems starting. Now it doesn't start or crank over. I've read a few articles about GM having an ignition problem and problems with the security system. Is there a way I can bypass this so I can start my car? Put on a $100 scanner from Harbor Freight and no codes show up. This is the V6 motor and automatic transmission. All the lights work and I've had the starter checked. It would start intermittently before, sometimes I would unhook the battery for a day and when I reconnected it the car would start. Now, no matter what I try the car will not turn over. Please guide me to a possible solution Scotty. I've had the car towed to a mechanic and he can't figure it out. He's young and not familiar with this problem. He thinks I should give up on the car. If I could get it to start I would sell it and get a Toyota, but I need it to start so I can sell. Love your channel and always thought you should go start your own dot-com address. Everyone is counting on you to help us Scotty and you never disappoint 🐱 Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for just trying!!! That's more than most people do.
One those are very junky cars don't put too much money into it. To find a mechanic who knows how to work on cars they're not that complicated those GM's any mechanic can figure out why they don't start if he really is a mechanic. There are dozens of possibilities I would have to see it in person
