[Solved] 2006 Honda Fit 1.4 - Engine problem

Hello,

I own a 2006 1.4 Honda Fit, with around 100k miles. I bought it pre-owned.

When the engine is warm and I drive the car with low acceleration, lets say around 2000 RPM, the propulsion breaks down for 1 second, caused by the engine. This happens quite often, based on the diriving situation (many stops and so on).

The workshop is not able to locate the issue. They have also checked the spark plugs, w/o a negative result.

Since my wife only drives the car for short distances, we can easy live with this issue. But still I'm afraid that the engines wears out more and more.

Thank you

Frank from Germany

The issue has been fixed by another car work shop. It was caused by a faulty crankshaft sensor.

It produced a faulty signal once it was warm.

I am glad to hear that your problem was fixed! Thank you for keeping us posted & feel free to ask more car questions, if any.

Do not worry about it at all. Drive some highway miles every once a while.I bet if you step on gas at the time of propulsion breaks down, the car will pick up and go.

If driving on the highway for a few hours doesn't clear it up have the valves adjusted Honda's often need their valves. And if not that try my video how to clean fuel injectors without removal

Thank you very much Scotty and Yaser,

in the moment the propulsion breaks down, nothing happens if a I step on the gas. If I drive it with more RPM, which is easy to do with the CVT, the issue doesn't appear (at least not so often I think).

Question is, what could it be?

Fuel pump: Would the effect stay longer if it would be the fuel pump?

Spark plugs: ?

Injectors: Would it only happen, when the car is warm and is droven at low RPM?

Or shall I drive the car with high premium fuel from time to time?
