Should I keep my Buick Allure

As you said Scotty, the prices right now for used cars are high and since I check the market every week I agree. My challenge is either fixing my car or getting a new used one that I know nothing about. I've had this dark blue 2007 Buick Allure CX (LaCrosse) at for over three years with no problems but now the tires are worn out, the shocks/struts are worn out, I'm hearing a front wheel bearing squeal, the brakes will need servicing but stop fine with no noise, the engine light stays on and there is a fixable rear panel dent and quite a few scratches. (I bought it at night) I can't do my own repairs anymore and figure the parts and labour will be about $3000 including the body if I get this fantastic Body Man I know to repair the damage. It would cost over $3000 for the body repairs at one of these Chain Body Shops. I like the roomy interior and trunk and being a former professional driver know how to drive it with the decent handling of the suspension. However the dent lowers the value and would I get my money back. So should I gamble on another used car or keep this? Also I really like the very rare Buick Allure CXS but is the smaller high performance 3.6 L V-6 better than my 3.8 L?

Clarification: What is the mileage? You say CEL light is on - what are the codes?

Thanks I forgot the mileage. It's at 157, 625 km so 97,943 miles. I recently cleaned the battery terminals so restarted the computer. I don't have a code reader but the engine light is now on all the time. The low tire light comes on because another tire valve needs replacing and the gas cap light comes on sometimes because I replaced the OEM with a lock-cap.

Will need the CEL code(s).  Depending on the issue there and the severity (or lack thereof), that could lead to additional cost to fix the vehicle (again depending what it is) and impact your decision to keep the vehicle or not.

Thanks, I'll look for a deal on a Scanner.

You can also go to a local auto parts store and they will scan for free. Be sure to jot down all the codes and post it above just under your opening post, so we know the full extent of what we are dealing with.
