55k miles, automatic trans. I am still a young guy, 70. I bought this truck 4 yrs ago at 37k. It had a lot of barn time in texas, I moved to Seneca falls NY, no barn. I do a yearly oil change and check the radiator and tranny. I sold my two Harleys a few weeks back and now need the truck as my daily ride. I want to do everything this summer before next winter, radiator and tranny fluid change is on the list. Since this is a 2007 should I consider changing the radiator hoses or just check for cracks and go from there. The outside hoses looks good. I am sure the fluids have never been changed on the radiator or tranny.

I would just inspect for cracks or rot. The hoses are a cheap fix so if you wanted to replace them just for peace of mind why not.

If you are changing the radiator or coolant anyway then sure, change them out. Hoses last a lot longer these days, but they are 15 years old and you can have peace of mind for maybe 60 bucks or less.

I would look for signs of aging like hardness, dryness, and cracking. A hose in good condition does not just suddenly blow. The rubber can easily last 15 yrs and longer. Plastic is a different story.
