Alright so basically I had my car stored in a garage for 10 days. after 10 days, I decided to give it a good 15-20mins drive to warm it up and make sure that everything was good. While I was driving, everything was normal (car had heat, temperature was normal) As soon as I pull up to my driveway, the car started to sound like it had an exhaust leak. I checked under the car and that's when I made this video of the coolant leaking from the Botton (bare in mind that the car was still on when this leak was happening) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f404fhMfchE
I then decided to store the car in the garage for another 10 days and fix this issue later. 10 days later, I called my mechanic in and he saw that the coolant reservoir was still holding coolant. He then topped off the coolant that had leaked out and started the car. No leaks, whatsoever. He kept it on for a good 30 mins to see if there were any leaks at idle. Then, we went on a good 25 min drive and again no leaks. Once again, everything was normal during the test drive (the car had heat, coolant seemed to be circulating in the system, temp was fine), and no leaks. Coolant Reservoir level didn't drop.
What could the cause be? could it be just a stuck thermostat? hose? btw, the climate out here in Canada is cold as well so could that have impacted it?
If it leaked once, it WILL leak again. Pressure test the system and at the very least, get a new radiator cap and make sure all your hoses are tight. If I was in this situation, I would get a new thermostat just out of spite.
Yea i am getting that replaced today. But now the issue is that the leak happened, and I am worried that even with the new thermostat, it may leak again
That's OK, the grey hair you get from worrying will give you more character.
The clue here may be that, "the car started to sound like it had an exhaust leak".
That's why you checked under the car to see what was happening and discovered this coolant "leak" was occurring.
Also, it began when you stopped the car in your driveway and air wasn't being pushed through the radiator from forward motion anymore.
(from your short video it didn't look like there was a trail of coolant leading to where you stopped).
Could that "pulsation noise" that sounded like an exhaust leak have been the reverberation of the plastic expansion tank as its pressure cap was releasing pressure/coolant as the engine coolant temperature was rising?
If that were the case, why would that happen when you stopped driving?
Maybe the radiator fins are clogged/filthy or maybe the radiator fan isn't kicking on when it should. Maybe the pressure cap is faulty.
You may want to inspect the radiator for crud, especially the side between the A/C condenser and the radiator and then start it and let it sit there and idle long enough to make sure the radiator fan is kicking on and the cap isn't releasing pressure with a clean radiator and functioning fan.
If you didn't overfill the expansion tank, and the radiator fins are clean and the fan is kicking on, maybe replace the expansion tank pressure cap and see if that works

One thing I forgot to mention that the temp gauge was going up as well right after I saw the leak
You might have had to much coolant and it just spit out some.
Yea but in that case shouldn't there be a leak somewhere for it to spit out the coolant?
reservoir tanks have an overflow
I checked the reservoir right after it leaked but It didn't have any coolant dripping from it nor was there any residue
