2007 Mustang Convertible V6
My husband has rebuilt this engine after possessing it for many years. However, the battery will not stay charged. The alternator and battery have been replaced. We are shipping this vehicle to Washington state to my eldest son in the army. What could the issue be? Also, what needs to be done to prepare the vehicle for use in that area? We'd like to fix this before shipping. Any help is appreciated. Thank you for your time.
From your description it's not clear whether the alternator isn't charging and the battery goes flat while driving, or the battery loses charge while the car is parked.
If the former you need to have the alternator tested. If the latter the car needs to be checked for a parasitic drain.
