Found a manual one for $3,650 with 132,000 miles and only had 1 owner. Is it a good first car? Will it last at least 4 years? I don't know much about Volkswagens.

"I don't know much about VWs"
Ok so, Volkswagen is a German car brand with a "german engineering!" mindset, so their cars are always overengineered and complicated. They cost a lot of money to maintain and repair. They put Audi, Porshce, Lambo, Bentley... technology into cheap little Jettas, and put cheap Jetta quality into expensive products. Now they do look and drive nice. But if you care about your money, get a 2003-2013 Toyota Corolla instead. Whatever car you consider, make sure to have a mechanic check it out before buying.
@Kerem Nice description
Even the manuals are decent, the electronics will start breaking down. It wouldn't last 4 years with that mileage.
