Hey Scotty I need your help . Love your shows tho . I have a 2009 Honda Accord lx-s 2 door . Car has 143,586 miles engine  never gave me a problem until this day . But last 3 days my RPM was sifting weird . So I took it to my Mechanic and he took a look at it and test drove it .

guy took look at it and said it was my transmission was going out . I told that it would stay at 2000 rpm and when accelerating a little more you can feel like a jerk, and the RMP WOULD bounce. T ok Cost it would be $2,200 dollers . What would be the best option.
can drives really good . Had the car for a year and before that I had a Chevy Malibu . Worst car ever

Find a BG service center. Have them clean the transmission put in the fluid conditioner with new fluid. My wife's lexus was doing what you described.  The BG service machine solved it. Shifts like a baby. Crap builds up in the torque converter.  The BG cleaner gets it off. Cheaper than a new transmission.

BG service ?

that is not how transmissions work

the only place where friction material causes issues is inside the valve body, and once it's there - not even disassembly will help.

A regular fluid replacement will do the same as that absolute snake oil "conditioner" and other crap like additives.

It doesn't sound right to me either. The torque converter is constant blasted by high pressure fluid. Any buildup would quickly throw it off balance.

You can drain a quart of fluid and put some Lucas stop slip. Hopefully that will buy you more time as eventually you will have to change the transmission.

I took it to 3 shops that works on transmission and they all told me that the transmission is in good shape .. and the car is amazing THERES nothing wrong with it .. that’s what all of them said …. And the other one said to change the transmission fluid because Honda likes there transmission oil clean .
