Hello, Scotty. I have a 2010 Ford Explorer XLT RWD with a 4L V6, 5-Speed Automatic Transmission, and 101k miles. I notice that every time I put it in Drive or Reverse, the lifters are a little loud. It is almost inaudible when in park. Should this be any cause for concern? Other than that, the vehicle is in almost perfect condition and is well-maintained.

Are you sure it's lifter noise? Usually when you put an automatic in gear, the RPMs go down a bit and noisy lifters would quiet slightly, since the engine is spinning slower. The load from spinning the torque converter and the transmission's internal pump slightly slows the engine. Sharing a video of the noise would help Scotty or someone else tell you what the noise is.
