Hi Scotty: I have a 2011 Ford Ranger Sport with a 4.0 liter, 6 cyl engine and 5 speed automatic transmission with 99,800 miles. It was purchased used with 86,500 miles. The engine and transmission work fine and the truck is in good condition. However, the transmission shift lever on the steering column has always (since I bought it) been stiff/hard to move through the gears. Any suggestions about what things to check, or replace?

You have to take most of the steering wheel apart to even find out why. If there any way to lube it up with some white lithium spray grease without taking the whole steering wheel apart to get in there you can try that otherwise your gonna have to take it apart to find out what stuck in there.
