VEHICLE
SYMPTOMS
4 lights: 2 traction control, ABS, Brake
1 message: Check Brake System
1 code: B1342-E0 (ECU) internal fault
TROUBLESHOOTING
Cleared code several times, but returns after a few days and sometimes immediately.
Connected my Innova 5610 and confirmed all the live ABS sensor data is working.
ABS REPLACEMENT
New parts are no longer available. Purchase used one off evilBay. Confirmed OEM P/N is exactly the same as original.
ORIGINAL PN: BL84-2C219-BA
EBAY PN: BL84-2C219-BA
Took to local ASC certified shop. They confirmed diagnosis and installed customer supplied replacement ABS module.
ISSUE
Apparently the unit came off a 4WD vehicle, so it is throwing different codes
U0414-60: Invalid date received from 4WD clutch control module
B2900-E0: VIN mismatch
O0114-60: Lost communication with clutch control module
The shop indicated that the ABS module cannot be re-programmed to vehicle. Still have original module.
Shop indicated the new OEM replacement PN: BL8Z-2C219-A, which is not available anywhere.
QUESTIONS
I was under the impression that the configuration/calibration data (including VIN) could be extracted from the original ABS control module using a more sophisticated OBDII scanner like an Autel and uploaded into the new ABS control module.

Shop says otherwise.
1. Is the shop incorrect?
2. Or once the ABS control module is VIN locked, it cannot be reprogrammed?
3. Are there any reasonably priced tools (J2534, IDS, FJDS, FDRS, etc.) that can reprogram the module by myself, or by a Ford dealer (assuming they would even be willing do so)?
5. Or am I completely hosed?
Thanks in advance,
Elvis
After extensive Google and YouTube searches I came across https://forscan.org/home.html
I already had an older WiFi ELM327. I was able to download the as-built configuration files and re-program the ABS control module.
I did have to buy the extended 1 year Windows License for $12.

Now to call the shop and let them know.
