Hi scotty i have a 2013 audi A5 2.0T 4 cyl TFSI, i got the car about a year ago it currently has about 62000 miles on it. The car was giving me this issue last summer where it would hesitate to start when warm only, it would happen after i shut the car off for about an hour after it has been up to operating temperature, when cold it starts right up no hesitation whatsoever. Winter passed by and the issue went away because of the cold weather the engine would get cold fairly quickly and would start right up. Now that winter is over the issue has gotten worse the only time the car starts up is when it is cold now. The other day i turned it off for about an hour after getting it up to operating temperature and it would not start it was just cranking and stopping.I also tried scanning it for codes and their is no codes popping up, no dash lights Please help.

Codes and dash lights are just the beginning of the diagnostic process, you need to dig deeper.

For example, when the engine is hot and you crank it does your scan tool data show an RPM reading? If not then the crank sensor would be suspect, they commonly fail when hot and start working again when cooled off.

Also see the site FAQ entry on diagnosing a no-start condition.

Yea thats what i was thinking but my scan tool isn't that advanced i will be taking it to a mechanic because i dont know too much on how to fix cars. Especially these dumb audis, Although Thanks for your advice.

Another possible way to check is to look for a bounce of the tachometer needle when cranking. At least on Saabs that's a quick way to tell if the crank sensor is working, not sure about Audi.
