Found 2 recent marketplace listings, one for a 2013 Camry and one for a 2013 Corolla. Looking for a good college car
There's the 2013 Corolla LE Sedan 4D with 48k miles listed for $8000
Then there's the 2013 Camry SE Sedan 4D with 93k miles listed for $9200
Which one should I prioritize looking at and potentially get inspected by a local mechanic?
corolla is a better value but camry is more comfortable
It's not for your family.
It's not for frequent long haul trips.
You need low maintenance for college.
so... Get the Corolla. The Camry may ride better but the Corolla has low miles and both have lower quality than the ones from like 2004 or 2005 so don't spend more to get a vehicle that has more miles, is harder to park, and has uneeded specs for a college student. If you are nuts about the Camry go ahead they are good cars but the Corolla is much better value. Try to pay less though. Also, there is nothing wrong with considering like a 2008 Corolla or 2006 Camry because those are the most quality model years and will cost less. Out of those two, unless you really like the Camry, the Corolla is a smarter choise.
