My father-in-laws has a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited with 200,000 km and does have the built in navigation. The cars back-up camera display has been blank for some time. Have to back-up the old fashion way using the rearview mirror which is tough considering the high trunk. It was intermittent for some time and now it is just blank. Reading online this seems to be a common issue with Hyundai's with no real solution. The camera itself does not seem to need replacing as it used to work once an a while.
Any thoughts on the cause or how to fix the issue? Heard it may be a wiring issue in the trunk or bad connection by the shifter. If it is the shifter I have no idea how to open it up to clean it.
Much appreciated.
Have enjoyed your YouTube channel for years. Keep up the great, informative and entertaining work.
This is why I tell people not to buy Korean cars. They're not very well made and in that case generally the screens themselves break down. They cost a fortune to replace. You could always buy an aftermarket system and install that a lot cheaper
