My daughters' 2016 sonata engine gave out @ 60K miles. The dealer replaced long block free of charge. Her car has 100K CPO warranty so even towing was covered. I did ask them to replace belts for cost of belts. Now, it has 63K miles, so far no problems. I did replace engine oil @ 62K (2k miles after engine replacement). The plan is to sell this car before it reaches 100k miles. Unfortunately, there are thousands of Sonatas with blown engines.
