2014 Honda Accord Hybrid!?

Looking to buy one for reliability, low maintenance cost, but don’t know how the hybrid components hold up and battery life span and maintenance is. Is the hybrid system more pain than it’s worth after a while?

 Thanks,

i prefer hybrid over regular vehicles. i own a preowned 8th gen honda hybrid, i put 1,000 miles easy without any issue or maintenance. like any car its a good idea to do regular maintenance. hyrid works like a normal car, its gasoline engine and instead of using alternator to make electricity it has a big battery pack that recharges and produces very serious high volts. in my personal opinion hybrid drives so much more smooth than all the other regular gasoline cars ive used PLUS you dont hear it cranking over because the charge is ALREADY THERE, I LOOOOVE THIS because nobody can listen when i turn on car. i currently have a code for battery but that is normal it works 100%, i did some research and the reason the battery gets weak is because the battery pack should be RECHARGED overnight to maintain BALANCE and the battery should self correct and work Flawlessly. Scotty kilmer posted a video about hybrids, he compared it to the Submarines, because submarines dont work with gas they can just charge the battery and PULL TONS AND TONS AND TONS OF WEIGHT. Scotty has also point out in his recent video that Hydrogren (water) engines are the future, because the current data shows that most vehicles in the world that uses gasoline all depend on the battery to PULL your vehicle at the same time the battery also must replenish its cells so it works twice as hard, and gasoline alone doesnt really do a good job in pulling the weight of your vehicle, its the battery that does that. Just put "gasoline is a cheap drink but electricity is your number 1 source of FORCE", same rule applies. hydrogren fuel could be the future for most 18 wheel truck drivers because its the battery that takes all damage to pick up all that weight, hydrogren fuel(water) will be able to pick up tons more becoming the most efficient. my hybrid still needs normal maintenance like any other car, i have owned new vehicles already from the dealership iam most happy with my hybrid. full electric vehicles are totally different

As they age they are very expensive to repair and if you really want a hybrid get a Toyota they last the longest. I have had customers get to 200000 miles out of Toyota hybrid  And they still ran good

I own a 14’ Honda Accord Hybrid. Mileage about 45,000. The hybrid system works flawlessly. Car is very comfortable - same as the regular Accords. I have had zero problems, so far. But I’m sure that Scotty is right when he says the Hybrid Toyota’s have more experience & probably last longer. My son has an 08’ Prius and it’s still going strong. But my Accord is heads & shoulders better in the “comfortable” category. I have a heavy foot & I average around 40 MPG. But if you drive very conservatively, I think you’d avg. about 45-50. Prior car was a 03’Accord & only problem was tranny went at 101,000 mi. Warranty was 100,000. Dealer made deal that they paid 3/4 & I paid 1/4. But still cost me over $1000.
Thinking next car will be non hybrid...and maybe a Toyota Camry? Luv a Lexus but hate that grill.
BTW, this H. Accord cost me a bundle. ($33,000) It was hard to find in 14’. Wouldn’t pay that again. But it’s been mechanically fine & I have no complaints.
