Hey Scotty, What you think about 2013-2015 RS5 Audi? I bought one 2014 with 50k miles full records for $32k no issues, i'm working on my cars and have a similar scanners and proprietary scan tools like you. I'm from Europe living in Texas (*safe part) long, long time. Thanks for reply.

These are 2013-2014 RS5 V8 NA not new audies. I had a 2010 S6 before and sold it with 254K miles no issues at all just locks in rear door seized. My 2014 RS is only weekend warrior.

Not sure what you want us to say.  I would not recommend to anyone to purchase that or any (modern) German vehicle unless you plan to work on it yourself (all the maintenance and the majority of repairs), know where to get parts, are really familiar with how the mechanical and electrical systems on those vehicles really work (almost to the point of being consider a pseudo-Audi mechanic), and have a chunk of money set aside for the repairs (it will be expensive over time). (YouTuber Mechanics CarWizard and LegitStreetCars comes to mind). But, otherwise, I usually tell folks to pass on it. Owning older German cars out of warranty is a labor of love and not for the faint of heart - not a good idea for the vast majority of us.

It helps it’s a weekend vehicle only, so you can keep the miles down.

In my opinion, I think the RS5 is a good donor platform for a custom Coyote or a good LS swap with a procharger.... Just saying... Just a good mix of euro, with an american engine

As long as your planning to work on it by yourself and know how much are you willing to spend on it to make it last longer I say go for it .

But make sure you take the car for test drive first and take to reliable mechanic get it inspected first before handing over the cash.

Also look up carfax for car maintenance history

If you know how to work on it urself and the fact that u had experience owning and maintaining an S6 from 11 years ago with 254k miles, go ahead with maintaining that RS5. Aside from the carbon build-up in the 4.2 V8 engines, they are decent engines and paired with a manual, they can make for a fun weekend toy.
