2016 Nissan Rogue CVT problems

Hey, so I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue with 49,000 miles and it's been good, but recently I plugged my code scanner and found code P17F0. This code means CVT judder and indicates that the CVT is going through. It drives fine though. I wanted to know if there was a way to clear this code or fix it without changing the transmission. Thanks for any help.

When is the last time the fluid was changed?

Last year

So the problem should not be due to dirty fluid. Those Jatco CVTs are known to be weak. It appears that if it's not an electrical connection problem the transmission is probably going out on you, @dan might have more detailed info.

I agree with chuck, looks a wiring / connector issue - if that’s not the case it can be a much bigger issue.
I wouldn’t recommend driving with a CVT that has a stutter - it does wear out the transmission’s internals…
Check if you’re eligible for a warranty replacement…

Here is the TSB from Nissan regarding your issue:

P17F0 will only trigger when a belt slippage is detected but will not turn any check engine lights on. As long as it’s driving fine you could continue without any issue. But if you did develop a judder sensation the sub assembly (belt assy) would need replacement. At that age and mileage you should be able to get some sort of manufacturer assistance
