I have a 4-cylinder, automatic transmission 2017 Camry with 213,000 miles. When the vehicle is cold (sitting overnight) and I put the transmission in drive, the engine revs but the car doesn't move. It does this for about 1-2 seconds and then the vehicle operates normally for the rest of the day. The engine is responsive and the shifting is crisp. I've put some serious money into this car over the past six months: rear engine oil seal, new struts, sway bar, tie rod ends, and CV axle. I've near had engine or transmission issues, but now I'm wondering what this revving may be. Any ideas?
When is the last time the transmission was serviced? Does it have enough fluid?
The fluid level is fine.
The fluid is pinkish in color and has hardly any odor.
The last time the transmission was serviced? Umm...I plead the 5th.

if the truth is "never" then you're lucky it has gone 213k miles. It should have been serviced at least 4 times.
