In May, 2021, I purchased a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 5.3L V8 with 32,000 miles from a Chevy Dealership in Buffalo, NY. It now has 38,000 miles. There is nothing wrong with it. How can I ensure it lasts as long as possible? I do regular oil changes at 5,000 miles. I use 87 octane Top Tier fuel as recommended in the owners manual. What about changing the transmission fluid and any other preventative maintenance? I am spraying all the rubber parts with the AT-205 RE-SEAL as you and a local shop recommends.
Fluids, fluids, fluids
Whenever a part is starting to wear or breaks, replace it.
Whenever rubber starts to rot or crack replace it.
when you’re doing oil changes or something take the time to look around the truck and do simple checks.
It’s a GM so you already have the worst the automotive world has to offer so I’d definitely keep up on maintenance.
