2018 Toyota C-HR low idle

Hey Scotty, love your YouTube channel. Ok, so I recently bought above said car. I'm really enjoying it honestly. It has 48k miles, sometimes at red lights the idle drops to around 500rpms and shakes, I put in some gum out in the fuel tank, and got on the gas pedal as much as I could for the 7 miles home from Walmart. Gonna clean MAF sensor this weekend, and check air filter. It's been regular maintenance done at my local Toyota dealership. So I doubt it's the air filter. I don't know where the IAC is. Any suggestions if cleaning the MAF SENSOR doesn't work? O, and it idles fine in park.

TPS is throttle positioning sensor.  MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure, MAF is Mass Air Flow, PCV is Positive Crankcase Ventilation.  Your vehicle will have some or all of these.  You can do an online search for an image of your engine to see where these components are.

Nice. Thank you. So process of elimination. Can the MAF be cleaned? Save the tps for last cause that would be a replacement correct?

The MAF can be cleaned but only with special MAF sensor cleaner, not carb cleaner.  The MAP sensor, located on the valve cover, can be cleaned with carb cleaner and reinstalled with petroleum jelly on the o ring.  The TPS should be replaced.

IAC valve, PCV valve, MAP sensor, TPS?

What is TPS? I gotta find the IAC, and I thought cars did away with PVC valves? Is MAP different than MAF?
