Recently bought a 2019 Toyota Highlander V6 with 68000 miles. I read online there are multiple lawsuits in regards to the UA80 transmission failing prematurely. It typically starts with a whining noise and will eventually fail.
Should I trade in for a more reliable vehicle before my transmission fails or am I being to paranoid? Also, transmission fluid drain and fill or flush?
Thank you,
Gus

If you can sell it for roughly what you paid for it, I would give it the heave ho. Knowing that the transmission has an abnormal failure rate, you will be constantly worried about it and really screwed if it does fail. Good luck.
