2019 Toyota RAV4 Window Trim

Hi, so I just bought a 2019 Toyota RAV4 not too long ago and a few months ago, I noticed that the window trim is kind of a bit off. I brought it to the Toyota dealership to get it fixed under the warranty because I fear too much water might go into the door. However, when they brought it back out after replacing the trim, it looked only slightly better but still not aligned. I spoke to the Director of Service there and he told me "All cars are slightly off" which is a little offputting but, I went with it because it didn't seem that bad during that time. I'm not sure what to do right now because it seems like it is more off than it was before and I fear if I bring it back to the Toyota dealership or any other one they will tell me exactly the same thing. What should I do?

Pictures are attached:

If I press down on the piece on the right it aligns pretty okay but it doesn't stay down.

I agree that it doesn't look right. I certainly hope it doesn't leak (I'd test that with a garden hose, as that would strengthen your case for repair).

Get your complaint into the complaint system Toyota has on it's web site.  https://www.toyota.com/support/#!/app/ask

Then, start going up the chain. Toyota sells millions of cars and has people dedicated to these kinds of problems/warranty repairs at a regional level (and since Toyota the company pays for dealer-performed warranty repairs, they are motivated to see the customer gets what Toyota has paid for.)

Dealerships, however, are motivated to tell you whatever gets you out the door, unless they can find a way to get money out of you.

Hi! Thank you for you input! So I did bring it in and it’s still not aligned correctly. It does fit a little more snug now but, the alignment is still off.
The dealership is letting me bring it back in 2 weeks so that they can take the door off and see what’s causing it because they’re really not sure what’s going on.
Does anyone think this could be caused by an accident or a factory defect?? Because this was a Toyota Service rental for 7k about 1yr before I bought it.
