Do you recommend the Datsun 280zx? I’m looking at one to slap a turbo on it and drive it around, have some fun.

Those were made long before Renault took over, and they’re pretty solid vehicles if taken care of, although they’re pretty old. What year is it? Are parts available? They can be fun weekend vehicles to drive around.

I had a '83 280ZX. It was the non-turbo version and could have benefited from a turbo as it was underpowered, in my opinion.

You will want to upgrade your clutch or auto trans if you're going to put a turbo on any car, but especially a 20/30 year old car. I'd go to one of the Nissan-specific forums to see what folks have done and what results/failures they've gotten.
