Hi Scotty I need to remove the distributor form my 86 Ford Tempo because the pip signal generator has failed.
I took off the hold down clamp off the distributor but it wont even turn. It been soaking in penetrating oil for weeks now still nothing. I haven't really gone nuts on it yet. What's the best way to free up the distibutor. Should I heat the block up with a torch at the base of the distributor ? Thanks Scotty

Why are you can try heat but it might ruin it. Then you might have to buy a new distributor. Me. I just grab the metal part with a pipe wrench and keep wiggling it back and forth until it gets loose
